Airport Adventures!

I should probably start by saying that all 4 of my flights went smoothly and there was little to no panicking!

Even though the flight from TX to Brisbane was by far the longest flight of my life, (I don't even know how long it was because the time changes and military time confused me so bad) it didn't feel like the longest flight. I didn't get antsy until the flight from Sydney to Perth. Though, I did realllllly want to walk around on the TX to Brisbane flight. I was between two Australian guys on that flight. They were both nice and very quiet which was okay because I had to finish THE BOOK. I did finish that by the way. It took forever!

Despite what people tell you, airplane food isn't so bad. Qantas food at least. I actually enjoyed their food. They even gave us cheesecake once! It was weird though because it was like right after we got on the plane headed to AUS they started serving us dinner...it's like 11:30pm and I was mostly asleep right before..and then they gave us breakfast! It seemed like only maybe 3hrs later but I probably fell asleep and honestly had no concept of time while on the plane. It was like no time passed..but it was also weird feeling the time pass and not being able to orient how much because of the time changes and being exhausted.

Worst part of the trip was from Brisbane to Sydney (it really wasn't that bad) where the guy I was sitting next to was overweight (so kind of spilled into my seat) and he had some pretty bad body odor...

I met up with two other people from CSBSJU in Brisbane and we went through security there, customs and security in Sydney together and then shared a taxi to the P&O Hotel (where I'm living). It's weird riding in the passenger (drivers) seat. Crossing the street is dangerous because I've been trained to look left right left because the car will come from the left..so when crossing one ways I just look left. Well here I need to look right. Or right left right.
